Dear Mr. Mower,
The goal of this research session was to extend the paternal side of the Susanna Hansdotter line. During the previous research session it was determined that Marcus Dyrichsson was the son of Dyrich Marcusson, but more research was needed to sort out Dyrich's wife and children. There were actually two Dyrich Marcusson's who lived in Ramshyttan in the parish of Ramsberg during the same time period. Marcus was the son of Dyrich Marcusson and Anna Henningsdotter, as shown in the household exam of 1682-1687,sent previously. Dyrich died in Ramshyttan in 1687 at the age of 53. His widow Anna died in 1712 at the age of 72.
The Ramsberg births, marriages, and deaths do not begin until 1679, making the research a little more difficult, but from tax lists it is evident that Dyrich was the son of Marcus Didrichsson and his wife Gertrud. The earliest tax lists show a Dyrich Hindersson from 1642 to 1651 and a Dyrich Marcusson from 1650 to 1653 in Ramshyttan, either of whom may be the father of Marcus.
Dyrich Marcusson and his wife Anna Henningsdotter were residing with Anna's father, Henning Hansson, for the 1664 Ramsberg household exam. Henning was born about 1605 and was married to Ingeborg. She died prior to the recording of burials in 1679. In 1682 Henning married Elin Jonsdotter, who had also been married previously. Henning died in 1690 at the age of 85. At this point I have not found a death for Elin. She is shown as Henning's widow in the 1691-1696 household exam, but moved out of the area. It would be good to trace her further in the household exams so that we can find her death and better sort out which children belong to Henning.
Henning is in the tax lists in the earliest year available, 1642. A Hans Henningsson is also listed in Ramshyttan in 1642 and may be Henning's father. Hans disappears from Ramshyttan by 1648. From her marriage and death record we know that Carin Hansdotter, wife of Marcus Dyrichsson, was born in Danshyttan in Lindesberg in about 1665. Unfortunately, the birth records of Lindesberg are missing from 1665 to 1673 and her birth did not appear in the records of 1664. I searched the available Lindesberg birth records and found only one Hans having children in Danshyttan between 1660 and 1682. Hans Jonsson married Carin Erichsdotterin 1659. They were the parents of Lars Hansson, born in 1661, and Oloff Hansson, born in 1675. I have been unable to find the deaths of Hans Jonsson or Carin Erichsdotter in Lindesberg from 1675 to 1691, nor have I located them in Danshyttan in the household exams. Further searches should be made for this couple in the household exams and death records in both Lindesberg and Ramsberg. We can also search for their births in Lindesberg.
Future research can also focus on the families of Thomas Andersson and Karin Jacobsdotter, parents of Karin Thomasdotter. The tax lists will likely be required to extend this line further as the births for Ljusnarsberg are missing from 1656 to 1668, about the time that they were born.
Sincerely, Susan Glenn, AG
