Dear Jerry:
I have had very good success on your research this time. I have been able to further extend one or two of your lines, which I will detail as I proceed with this report. As usual, you will first find a new set of pedigree charts.
The first family group sheet is from pedigree chart #2. Jonas Persson Hammersmed and Margete Jonsdotter (family #72) are your 8th great grandparents. They were married about 1665 and it appears that they had at least ten children. I have now found record of the marriage of one of their younger sons: Anders Joensson was married in 1713 to Maria Ersdotter (family #564).
Next we go to pedigree chart #6 to the family of Hans Nilsson Berggren and Maria Hansdotter Lov (family #217) who are your 8th great grandparents. You will note that I have found some additional information on the wife's father, whose lineage is continued on pedigree chart #45.
Hans Lov and Elisabet Nilsdotter (family #220) were the parents of Maria Hansdotter Lov. I have now located the burial record of Hans Lov, which does not give his age, but does list him with the patronymic surname of Parsson. This is very important because it may be helpful in locating earlier records on this individual, especially if he did not previously use the Lov surname, but instead used his patronymic surname. Further research is needed, but I now have some additional very important information.
On pedigree chart #8 you will find the family of Pehr Pehrsson and Susanna Hansdotter (family #20) who are your 6th great grandparents. You will note that I have now located the birth record of the husband. You previously had the name of his father, but he was born at Bjorkhyttan, not Hafstad. The family later moved to Hafstad. This explains why I could not previously locate him in earlier clerical survey records. Also enclosed is the first marriage of Pehr Pehrsson, to Carin Larsdotter (family #371)..
Pehr Pehrsson was the son of Pehr Mattsson and Brytha Jansdotter (family #372). They were married the same year that their son was born. The marriage record lists the husband from Bahr in Lindesberg and the wife from Bjorkhyttan. You will note that I have also located the birth of the wife, Brytha Jansdotter. She was born in 1684 at Bjorkhyttan, the daughter of Johan or Jan Larsson (family #515). I have not yet located the name of his wife, nor checked for other children, but will do so next research period.
On pedigree chart #18 you will find the family of Johan Eliasson and Marit Larsdotter (family #86 which you have). Their daughter Cherstin Johansdotter was married in 1713 to Anders Hansson. (family #185). Anders Hansson is also your relative. I have located one additional child in this family, but there are undoubtedly others.
Johan Eliasson listed above was the son of Elias Joensson of Wasselhyttan in Lindesberg. He is your 10th great grandfather. One of his children from his marriage to Gertrud Andersdotter (family #400 which you have) was Cherstin Eliasdotter. She was married in 1695 to Carl Carlsson (family #243). I have now found record of nine children in this family.
Hans Ersson and Ingeborg Ersdotter (family #87 which you have) are shown on pedigree chart #19. One of their sons was Anders Hansson mentioned above. Another son, Erich Hansson was married in 1712 to Kerstin Nilsdotter (family #241). One of their daughters was Karin Hansdotter who was married in 1701 to Nils Jonsson (family #227).
We now move to pedigree chart #24 where we find the family of Per Ersson and Ingrid Andersdotter (family #193). They are your 9th great grandparents from Granshyttan in Lindesberg. Per Ersson was married secondly to the widow Anna Olofsdotter (fam #262). Enclosed are family group sheets on one child from the first marriage and two children from the second marriage:
Margarethe Persdotter was married in 1682 to Lars Larsson from Jonshyttan (family #276). They resided at Granshyttan and were the parents of seven children.
Kerstin Persdotter was married in 1701 to Erich Larsson of Danshyttan (family #224). I have found record of four children in this family.
Erich Persson was married, also in 1701 to Kerstin Larsdotter (family #225). Kerstin Larsdotter was apparently a sister to Erich Larsson above. They resided at Granshyttan in Lindesberg, and I have found record of five children.
Nils Jakobsson and Cherstin Hansdotter (family #188) are shown on pedigree chart #25. They are your 9th great grandparents from Armanboda in Lindesberg. They were married in 1661 and had at least six children. I finally located the burial record on the wife, considerably later than previously thought. There is also a 10 year discrepancy in her age from the clerical survey and the burial record. However, this is undoubtedly the same person.
Enclosed also are updated sheets on the marriages of two of the children to Nils Jakobsson. Peder Nilsson was married in 1700 to Anna Larsdotter (family #432) and I have so far found record of five children. Erich Nilsson was married in 1704 to Karin Ersdotter (family #230) for whom I have found four children to date. Lars Jakobsson was a brother to Nils Jakobsson. He was married to the widow Carin Johansdotter (family #275). His son Jacob Larsson was married in 1704 to Anna Ersdotter (fam #559).
Jump ahead now to pedigree chart #48 to the family of Hans Andersson and Elisbet Andersdotter (family #286 which you have). They are your 9th great grandparents. Several of their children were married as follows: Peder Hansson was married in 1698 to Margareta Ohlsdotter (family #290). I have now found record of ten children in this family. Elisabeth Hansdotter was married in 1698 to Anders Ohlsson of Bjorka (family #271). I have found record of only two children, but I may have missed some, so need to recheck. And lastly, Anna Hansdotter was married in 1701 to Par Ersson (family #549).
Hans Andersson, father of these individuals was the son of Anders Andersson and Karin (family #296 which you have). One of the daughters to Anders Andersson was Bengta Andersdotter. She was married about 1672 to Per Larsson (family #399). One of their daughters, Ingebor Persdotter, was married in 1703 to Olof Olsson of Bjorka (family #550).
Lars Christophersson, your 9th great grandfather, is found on pedigree chart #49. His second wife was Margreta Hansdotter (family #287). Margreta is also your relative. They resided at Gusselhyttan in Lindesberg and I have so far found record of six children. Also there is an updated sheet for one of the children from Lars Christophersson's first marriage. Johan Larsson was married three times. I have now located one child from his marriage to Karin Persdotter (family #541).
Nils Mattsson and Karin Olofsdotter (family #490) are your 9th great grandparents. They are shown on pedigree chart #50. Their son Nils Nilsson was married in 1702 to Ingeborg Andersdotter (family #470). Ingeborg is also your relative, being the daughter of Anders Ersson and Anna Larsdotter (family #444) from Korberg in Ramsberg parish. Nils Nilsson died in 1712 and his widow Ingeborg was married in 1714 to Erich Larsson (fam #566).
We are almost finished now. On pedigree chart #51 you will find Par Johansson of Aspa (family #95 which you have). His son Erich Parsson was married in 1704 to Anna Andersdotter (family #516). I have located record of three children.
On pedigree chart #52, Kerstin Parsdotter, wife of Hans Pehrsson, is your 9th great grandmother. She was also married to David Ersson (family #279 which you have). As you know David Ersson is also your relative. From their marriage was a son, Erick Davidsson, who was married in 1704 to Bryta Mattsdotter of Gusselby (family #553). I have found record of five children in this family.
Finally, on pedigree chart #53 is the family of Olof Svensson and Kerstin Svensdotter (family #199 which you have). They are your 9th great grandparents and were from Garphyttan in Lindesberg. Their daughter Anna was married in 1713 to Lars Hansson, and I have so far found record of two children (family #260).
The few remaining family group sheets are for various other relatives. The relationship is given on each sheet. That covers the research which I have done for you this last period. Please let me know if you have any questions.
I hope that you and your family are well. I look forward to hearing from you again in the near future and continuing with your research.
Sincerely yours,
Linda K. Larson
