I think you will enjoy the newsletter this month as you read the probate packet for Andrew MOWER, father of Michael MOWER and consequently the grandfather of Henry MOWER Sr. Andrew was born 14 Oct 1752 in Springfield Township, Bucks Co., Pa. He was christened Andrew MAURER in the Trinity Union Church on 23 April 1753 in the same township. His sister Anna Margaret MAURER married Christopher BRILL and her records are found with his. The MAURER and BRILL families lived by each other in Bucks Co., Pa, later moving together to Loudoun Co., Va and still later in Bedford Co., Pa where Andrew died.
Andrew Mower (1752-1813) Probate Packet, Bedford County, Pa Andrew Mowra Will, Bedford Tp. Filed 12th April 1813. Registered Will Book 1 page 342. Bedford County personally appeared before the subscriber. Register for the probate of Wills and granting letters of adminbistration in and for said County, Jacob Ralor and Albert Miller the subscribing witnesses to the within Will who being duly sworn described and saith that they were personally present and heard and saw Andrew Mowra the testator sign seal publish, pronounce and declare the within instrument of writing as and for his last Will and testament that at the time of doing thereof the testator was of sound and disposing mind and memory according to the best of their disposing knowledge and belief sworn to and subscribed this 12th day of April 1813.
