Dear Jerry:

I have again completed your research hours for this period. I have been able to extend several of your lines at Lindesberg parish, and therefore, you will find a complete new set of pedigree charts.

The first family group sheet is from pedigree chart #2. Erich Ersson and Bryta Parsdotter (family #48) are your 8th great grandparents. They were married in 1694 and were the parents of six children. They resided at Fanthyttan in Lindesberg parish.

Erich Ersson was the son of Erich Nilsson and his wife Karin Persdotter (family #75) of Fanthyttan. They are your 9th great grandparents. I have not yet identified any other children in this family.

To go one generation further back on this line, Erich Nilsson was the son of Nils Ersson (family #103) of Fanthyttan. The name of his wife has not been determined, but I located record of three other children. Nils Ersson is your 10th great grandfather.

We now go to the lineage of Bryta Parsdotter, wife of Erich Ersson listed above. She was the daughter of Peder or Par Eliasson and his wife Anna Hansdotter (family #76). They resided at Forbohyttan in Lindesberg. To date I have located record of only one other child.

Peder or Par Eliasson was born in 1641 at Lindesberg, the son of Elias Ersson of Forbohyttan (family #105). Elias Ersson is your 10th great grandfather.

We now go to pedigree chart #3 where we find the family of Nils Persson and Brita Nilsdotter (family #182). They were married in 1686 and were the parents of six children. They were from Granshyttan in Lindesberg and are your 8th great grandparents.

Nils Persson was born in 1661 at Granshyttan in Lindesberg, the son of Per Ersson and his first wife, whose name is unknown (family #193). It appears that they had at least two children. Kerstin Persdotter was married to Erich Larsson (family #224).

Per Ersson was apparently married twice, his second wife being Anna Olofsdotter (family #262). He also had at least two children from this marriage:

Erich Persson was married in 1701 to Kerstin Larsdotter (family #225). They resided at Granshyttan and were the parents of at least four children.

Olof Persson was married in 1711 to the widow Anna Andersdotter (family #259). They resided at Gusselhyttan.

On the next generation back, Per Ersson was the son of Erich Nilsson of Granshyttan (family #242). The name of the wife of Erich Nilsson has not been determined, but they had at least four children. One son, Nils Ersson, was married in 1661 to Carin Nilsdotter (family #243). Erich Nilsson is your 10th great grandfather.

Next is the lineage of Brita Nilsdotter, wife of Nils Persson, previously listed. She was the daughter of Nils Jakobsson and his wife Cherstin Hansdotter (family #188) of Armanboda. They are your 9th great grandparents. They were married in 1661 and were the parents of at least five children. The four brothers of Brita Nilsdotter were married as follows:

Peder or Par Nilsson was married in 1686 to Brita Larsdotter (family #189).

Hans Nilsson was married about 1696 to Kerstin Larsdotter (family #190).

Erich Nilsson was married in 1704 to Karin Ersdotter of Gusselby (family #230).

Lars Nilsson was married in 1706 to Anna Larsdotter of Jonshyttan (family #231).

The full name of the father of Nils Jakobsson has not been determined. However, Nils Jakobsson had at least one sister and one brother (family #247). The brother, Olof Jakobsson, was married in 1661 to Anna Eriksdotter (family #261).

We now go to pedigree chart #7. Here there is a corrected sheet on Pehr Andersson and Kerstin Jansdotter (family #24) who are your 7th great grandparents. I had previously located a birth record in 1709 which I thought was your ancestor. However, further research has shown that this individual died as a child, and thus cannot be your ancestor.

Since your ancestor was reportedly born in 1709 at Hammaren, and the previously listed birth was the only likely possibility that year, I can only assume that the birth year is in error. This birth year of 1709 is taken from the clerical survey record, which is apparently in error.

In my research I have noticed that the clerical survey records are frequently off by a year or so either way. Therefore, I will have to check again to see what other likely possibilities can be found and then try to determine which of those might be the correct one. Please discard the sheet on the previously listed parents of Pehr Andersson (family #93).

Elias Joensson and his wife Gertrud (family #184) are shown on pedigree chart #12. They are your 10th great grandparents from Wasselhyttan in Lindesberg. It appears that Elias Joensson had at least one brother (family #256). Per Joensson resided at Wasselhyttan and had at least one child (family #196).

On pedigree chart #13 you will see the family of Hans Ersson and Ingeborg Ersdotter of Wasselhyttan (family #87). They were married about 1675 and are your 9th great grandparents. Their daughter Karin Hansdotter was married in 1701 to Nils Jonsson of Angeboda (family #227).

It appears that Hans Ersson was the son of Erich Hansson of Wasselhyttan (family #201). Erich Hansson is your 10th great grandfather.

Next if you will go to pedigree chart #41 you will find the family of Hans Pehrsson of Aspa (family #198). He was the father of Pehr Hansson, born in 1680. The name of the wife has not been determined, nor have I yet located record of any other children. It appears that Hans Pehrsson was the son of Pehr Andersson of Aspa (family #250).

On pedigree chart #42 there is the family of Olof Svensson and Kerstin Svensdotter (family #199) of Garphyttan. Their daughter Anna Olsdotter was married in 1713 to Lars Hansson (family #260).

That covers the research which I have done for you this period. Please let me know if you have any questions. I am enclosing a disk with a copy of this report, instead of e-mailing a copy to you. I look forward to hearing from you again soon and continuing with your research.

Sincerely yours,
