This month has been rewarding in our search for our Mower ancestors.  For
those of you who descend through  Henry MOWER Jr. and his wife Elizabeth
HALL, you will be interested in knowing that the 2nd great grandfather of
Elizabeth HALL has been identified.  The newly identified ancestor is
Benjamin CANNON whose wife's maiden name was HENNINGHAM.  They lived in
Stokes Co., North Carolina.  Benjamin died about 1800 and left a will.  In
that will he identifies his daughter, Mary CANNON, wife of William EAST Jr.
This proves the connection.

The line of descent goes like this:
Benjamin and _______ (HENNINGHAM) CANNON parents of
Mary CANNON, wife of William EAST Jr. who were the parents of
Joseph EAST, who married Martha COCKERHAM, who were the parents of
Rebecca EAST who married Harrison HALL who were the parents of
Elizabeth HALL who married Henry MOWER Jr.
